Influence of removing the Thermostat to Engine
Jakarta-Hallo detikOto, Suzuki Grand Vitara car I 2007, yesterday my car overheat, the heat got to level h. Then I take it to the repair shop official Suzuki, after all checked, no problem, turned out to be a problematic thermostat, then they are advised to remove the thermostat.
I want to ask, what is the impact to the machine? Because ampere heat in my car not up to half (normal), now under half.
Thank you,
Iqbal
Answer:
In a simple thermostat function to set the optimum temperature in the machine. In a state machine is cold the thermostat will go away then when approaching the ideal temperature/heat (85-90 degrees) then the thermostat opens.
Well when the thermostat opens a stream of cold water from the radiator to the engine will flow down the thermostat temperature back after closing.
Thus there is water around the engine could actually cool the engine and the water in the radiator can be lowered where temperature becomes colder.
With the ideal machine temperature always awake then performance cars will also be maintained in addition of cooling system will be more durable and works well.
Why when the thermostat is removable temperature ideal not reached? Because water continues to circulate automatic machine will always be cooler. My suggestion should be mounted so that the temperature of the thermostat again ideal machine is always awake.
