Mercedes-Benz S-Class: More Models in Preparation of Maybach Closure

will all be getting major refreshes through 2015.

The Mercedes S-Class gets new models and trims, partially due to its position as the flagship of the Mercedes fleet, and partially as replacement of Mercedes’ ultra-lux Maybach brand, which is scheduled to be phased out in the next couple of years. The S-Class will get a long-wheelbase model (think limousine); two even higher-level “Pullman” models (think limousine on steroids); and a soft-top coupe.

Other planned updates in the Mercedes lineup include:

For 2013, a heavily refreshed Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan debutes, which includes new engine options. The coupe, station wagon, and roadster models of the Mercedes E-Class will debut sometime in 2015.An electric Mercedes-Benz SLS will go on sale in 2014. A refreshed Mercedes-Benz CLS will also debut at this time.Refreshed Mercedes-Benz SLS coupe and roadster tentatively scheduled to debut in 2015.
